I worked with Beauty Insurance Plus(BIP) to re-create their landing page that would attract and convert their target audience so they can obtain insurance for their beauty business.
The previous landing page was outdated and didn’t display the information in a way that captivated the user’s attention. The original landing page had an amateur look and feel and did not do a great job with attracting and retaining potential customers.
The goal of this project is ultimately to attract and convert potential customers in order to generate additional sales on the Beauty Insurance Plus landing page.
To start the process, I observed the current sales page and looked over the main site for more info on Beauty Insurance Plus. From there, I looked up competitive websites offering beauty insurance to see the current competition and find out if they were doing anything that could work well for Beauty Insurance Plus.
After gathering information on the competition, I made notes of things to consider then I looked on Pinterest to see the current trends for beauty websites. After getting some good ideas, I researched CRO best practices and sales page tips and tricks to make sure I cover all bases.
I took notes on my findings, then started creating user flows for the user journey through the sales page. I drew out the current user flow then I drew out the user flow as it would be redesigned. Once I got a good idea of the new user journey, I designed the wireframe in Adobe XD based on my research and data.
In order to meet the goals of this project, I completely re-organized the content on the landing page to be more visually appealing. To do this, I made note of what elements needed to stand out amongst others and highlighted those with a better user interface design.
I also added in other elements that through research, I found were great selling points such as a section of testimonials, a section that explains the importance of having beauty insurance and a call to action button in the hero image when you first land on the page.
This project was not only a success but it was fun to work on. There were some obvious things that needed improvement so I enjoyed researching and finding the best solutions to achieve the goal of the landing page. Being that this was a landing page that was playing off of the main website for Beauty Insurance Plus, I was able to get a good idea of what the client was going for. I would say I learned that having good direction and information on a project beforehand really helps to achieve the best results in the end.
